We are small family winery in Baghdati, Imereti, where the wine are produced for 4 generations continuously by traditional technology in Kvevri.
All our wines are reflected our terroir and each of them are made from endemic grape variety. Imereti unlike of Kakheti is a Western part of Georgia where prevail more light and crispy wines. Imeretian stony soils bring to wines more freshness and minerality. There are also many different red grapes like Dzelshavi, Chkhaveri and Otskhanuri Sapere which are rare, wild and unique in their styles. For today we produce 9 different wines and want to continue to revive local autochtonous. We generally prefer old-vine and take care of the vines by ourselves.
We truly convinced that wine is a living thing and our task as a winemakers to allow the best qualities of the fruit can come through. For these reasons we are choosing natural/ low-intervention winemaking which is exclude any chemical additions, mechanical intervention and minimum sulfur content.
