Morra Gabriele

Stefano Campaniello & Gabriele Testa

Grower, Maker

something

Morra Gabriele, formerly known as Pautasso Vini, is a Langhe winery with roots dating back to 1880 and now its warmly represented by two passionate young men: Gabriele Testa, a lifelong Piemontese farmer, and Stefano Campaniello, a seasoned sommelier with experience in fine dining restaurants across Europe plus training in burgundy and Spain.

Their paths crossed when Stefano was a sommelier where Gabriele was a regular, and a shared love for the land, vineyards, and wines blossomed into a friendship and ultimately, a partnership. In 2013, they joined forces, reviving the Morra Gabriele label in honor of Gabriele's grandfather, the founder of this traditional Piemontese winery.

Today, Gabriele and Stefano continue the legacy, blending tradition with innovation. Gabriele nurtures the vines and earth, while Stefano crafts wines with clear vision, using concrete tanks and exausted oak barrels to showcase the purest terroir. Together, they preserve the past while shaping the future of Morra Gabriele wines.

The winery's commitment to natural wine production stems from Stefano's personal experiences. Previously, he suffered sides effects from exposure to treatments and herbicides used in conventional viticulture. These encounters made the decision to adopt natural farming and winemaking methods a straightforward one.
