From the Grower
"The 2019 Taruguín feels more approachable than previous years, with softer tannins. There's always something dark and earthy in our wines, but this is also floral and has good balance and finer tannins. It's ripe without excess and has integrated oak after 14 months in used 225-liter oak barrels."

Additional Information

Year 2020 was considered as one of the best in the last decade in the region. Quality and quantity joined together in perfect armony. This vintage gave us lovely lush and deep wines. The vines bud break was around last days of April, as other times in our region. That is a magical preciseness from our plants that we find admirable. During the spring, the usual frosts in the area did not miss their appointment during the first fortnight of May, and even in June. Summer was extremely hot with very few rainy days, that finally appeared on September. Fortunately that rain helps the plants to complete maturation and earn weight and must yield. The extraordinary adaptability of the hardworking Soria vineyards shone in this vintage with fabulous results.
something

My dream is to create a great wine, based on our understanding of the vineyard, its terroir, only making organic farming methods. An artisan production with low intervention practices is our way, and a vigilant aging makes the rest. The main idea behind my viticulture is to restore life in the soil by imitating nature. The more life exists in the soils, the greater their capacity to draw CO2 from the atmosphere, and better possibility for the plants to develop their roots. That is the best way to let the grapes express the unique characteristics of the place, the soil and its microclimate.
