L’Acino is a small winery located in Calabria, in the Cosenza area, South of Italy. We have 13 hectares of vineyards and we produce just over 60,000 bottles a year. We produce naturally made wines, mostly with autochthonous grape varieties, indigenous yeasts, wild fermentations, coarse filtration and unfined. In some of the wines we use a ridiculous amount of sulfites, at moment of the bottling, but in the majority of the wines we don’t even add any. L’Acino owns most of the vineyards; few are for rent. We don’t have an organic o biodynamic certification for them. We are so natural that in 2023 we didn’t harvest at all because of the downy mildew disease (Plasmopara viticola).
