Rooted Selections

Rooted was founded in 2017 with a focus on lesser known regions and varietals, the so called "Godforsaken Grapes" if you will. Our philosophy and approach is simple, we like wines made by people, not corporations, relationships are important to us, and the environment is something to be protected not abused. It is with this in mind that we seek out like minded partners on both the supplier and distribution side. Our producers act as stewards of their land as well as their region's history. Many of them could be called "natural winemakers" although this is not really a moniker they would use, they would prefer to be called "low intervention." Currently we are representing wineries out of Hungary, France, and Spain as well as Jaanihanso ciders out of Estonia.
