Protótipo wines

We are winegrowers / producers, in Aldeia de Cima, Armamar county, with vineyards framed in the fusion zone of the Douro Valley and Távora-Varosa regions; The "Prototipo" project began in 2015, with experiments in the production of natural wines (low intervention), as a response by the current generation of the Valente family (grape producers in the last two centuries) to the challenges of climate change and an agriculture of lesser environmental impact in small plots of vineyard belonging to the family (4ha), in vineyards at an altitude of more than 600 meters; Our motto is "wine is bottled grapes", based on extreme care in viticulture (in overall balance with nature), so that when the grapes are transformed into wine, there is nothing to correct; the wines are the mirror of the grapes produced, having annual modifications, characteristic of the climatic influences of each year;
