Etnean DNA and Heart I was born on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, into a family of winegrowers, where I learned the value of the land and the vine. After studying Psychology and Psychotherapy, I returned to my roots: in 2018 to Solicchiata, and in 2019 I began working at Vino di Anna, an experience that was fundamental to my personal and professional growth. In 2020, my parents gave me part of their land: from my father I inherited love and respect for the land and the vineyard; from my mother, the courage to follow dreams and passions, even when they may seem “foolish.” I began vinifying my own grapes to tell my story: one of deep roots, conscious return, desire, and passion. The vineyards, ungrafted and mostly between 90 and 100 years old, grow on sandy volcanic soils rich in ash. Work in the vineyard follows uncertified organic practices, without herbicides or systemic products, with essential manual interventions. In the cellar: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, no temperature control, no fining or filtration; racking and bottling follow the biodynamic calendar, with minimal use of sulfur only when necessary. For me, working in the vineyard and cellar means listening, care, and respect for what nature offers.
