My winery was founded in 2006, after a period spent rese- arching the methods of natural wine-making (both in a per- sonal and professional capacity). I am driven by an increasing need to enrich my knowledge, and over the last few years various figures from the world of agriculture have given me advice and mentored me, in order to improve my work both in the vineyards and in the cellar. Our vineyards (7 hectares) are located in St Giovanni Ilario- ne, in the province of Verone, between 300 and 500 meters above sea level. They have a South/South-East exposure, and are argilo-calcareous. In terms of viticulture this is conside- red high land, that’s the reason the majority of our work is carried out by hand. Nature imposes this upon us. Our indigenous grape is called ‘Durella’. Characterised by fresh, mineral notes and a pronounced acidity, usually it is either loved or hated. The grape is from a medium-compact bunch with thick skin, which allows us to leave it on the vine for a longer period of time. We try to prevent our vineyards from becoming a mono- culture, because we believe in the respect of all that exists in nature. We believe in sustainable farming for us and for others. We are a family run business and are often out working in the vineyards, but our doors are always open to whoever is interested in meeting us.
