Mas Théo - Mr & Mrs Théo

The field of MAS THÉO (named after the great grandfather Gabriel THEOLAS) is a family heritage with 20 hectares of vines in the middle of the Rhône valley. The rest of the estate is devoted to hay to exchange with farmers for manure, and lavender to develop essential oil. The organic culture from the beginning 2004 was only the base. Laurent CLAPIER turned to the biodynamic (Demeter certification) for a philosophy more in adequacy with his vision of the agricultural world. The goal is to obtain the most expressive and natural wines possible by only developing them with healthy grapes, and no interventions. All these steps were amplified by the acquisition in 2012 of an old stone quarry : LES CAVES CATHÉDRALES. This local troglodyte, natural and ideal place for storage has revealed the living wines of Mas Théo.
