Nestled in the heart of Manavi, a quaint village in Eastern Georgia, Manavi Wines crafts exceptional wines from our 6-hectare vineyard, situated in a renowned “Microzone.” This region is celebrated for its fertile soil and ideal climate, perfect for cultivating the distinctive Mtsvane grape variety, known for its fruity, vibrant character. Alongside Mtsvane, we grow the elegant Rkatsiteli and a small but special amount of the bold Saperavi grape.

At Manavi Wines, we believe that great wine starts in the vineyard. Our focus is on cultivating quality over quantity, with every vine carefully tended to and nurtured with minimal intervention. We prioritize sustainable practices, allowing nature to take its course while ensuring the grapes grow in a way that reflects their true potential. This approach not only preserves the integrity of the land but ensures that the fruit we harvest is of the highest quality. Our commitment to quality extends to the harvest itself. The grapes are handpicked with great care, placed in small boxes to preserve their freshness and avoid any damage. Every bunch is treated like a precious gem, guaranteeing only the finest fruit makes its way into our wines.

The magic of our winemaking process happens in traditional Georgian clay vessels known as Qvevri—buried deep in the ground to maintain a stable temperature throughout fermentation and aging. These ancient vessels, with capacities ranging from 1 to 2 tons, allow the wine to naturally breathe and purify itself from sediments, creating a truly unique flavor profile. While we honor this centuries-old tradition, our approach to winemaking also embraces a touch of modern techniques, that brings freshness and new soul to every bottle. True to our philosophy, we use no yeasts or any other additives in the process, letting the grapes speak for themselves.

Our white wines are crafted in two distinct styles: with and without skin contact. The skin contact process, lasting up to six months, imparts a beautiful amber hue and a complex, rich character. Wines made from pure juice are light, bright, and irresistibly fruity, offering a fresh and lively experience. At Manavi Wines, we are doing our best to connects the land, the tradition, and the authenticity of Georgian winemaking, while embracing a forward-thinking approach that makes our wines uniquely our own. Our wines are a true reflection of the region’s spirit and the care we put into every step of production.

So, sit back, relax, and indulge in the unique flavors of Georgia. GAUMARJOS!
