Malati Winery

My heart is in the mountains. Specifically in the mythic landscape of Svaneti in the high Caucasus mountains. Svaneti is an ancient culture related to Georgia with its own language that has been declared a endangered language by UNESCO. My wine is named Malati which means “heart” in my native svan even though our vineyards and winemaking is in Kakheti It is my small contribution to help popularize and maintain the language of our region
