Loop de Loop is a small winery in the Columbia Gorge AVA, making wines that are wild, alive, and deeply expressive of place. Our Light Anthology Vineyard is a very steep, wind-swept site above the Columbia River, where vines grow in volcanic ash, “buckshot” pebbles of basalt, and volcanic glass. We are surrounded by forest and native meadows. It’s a place of tension and transformation—where sunlight, soil, and story converge. We farm regenerative-organically, with minimal disturbance, allowing native plants to thrive and the vineyard to remain part of the larger ecosystem. Our winemaking is intuitive and restrained: native fermentations, no additions beyond minimal sulfur, and bottling without fining or filtration. We work with grapes that speak in texture and acidity—primarily from high-elevation sites—and let them ferment slowly, over months- or, often years. Loop de Loop is a conversation with the vineyard, a collaboration with the unseen, and a celebration of the wild intelligence of fermentation.
