Les Terres Dubien

Les Terres Dubien is a 3-hectare artisanal estate of vineyards in the communes of Saint-Yzans-du-Médoc, Couquèques, and Lesparre on the Médoc peninsula north of Bordeaux, established in 2020. Organic and biodynamic farming came naturally as a way of expressing the terroir of each plot. Alternating soil cultivation and different types of cover crops are implemented according to each plot. Most of the plants used, in addition to copper and sulfur in the vineyard, are harvested on the estate or in the Médoc region. The grapes are harvested by hand with the help of many friends to give the wines that extra touch of soul. The wines are made naturally using indigenous yeasts with gentle extraction and, where possible, without the use of wine pumps, in order to bring out the fruit and finesse. The wines are aged for 8 to 18 months in vats and old barrels, depending on the cuvées, which are plot-specific. Bottling is carried out without fining or filtration, with total SO2 between 0 and 30 mg/L depending on the cuvées and vintages. The estate also has collaborative projects with winegrowers outside the Médoc region.
