Driven by a deep passion for wine and the land, the Les Libère-Terres project is a creative and committed response to the growing challenges facing winegrowers today. The name, a subtle play on words between ‘libertarians’ and ‘liberate the earth’, reflects the very essence of the project: a desire to free oneself from the constraints imposed by climatic hazards, while paying homage to nature and to those who respect it and cultivate it with devotion.
This project emerged from the difficulties encountered by the Baptiste Nayrand estate, hit hard in recent years by devastating climatic events – hail and frost – which severely reduced harvests, threatening the sustainability of the operation. Faced with increasingly unpredictable weather conditions, it has become crucial to find a sustainable solution to continue living our passion. Thus, the idea of Libère-Terres was born: a business dedicated to the discovery and promotion of wine gems from our region.
Libère-Terres mainly focuses on local winegrowers from South Beaujolais, with whom we work closely. These artisan winegrowers share our philosophy of absolute respect for nature. Together, we strive to reveal the richness and diversity of the often underestimated or little-known terroirs of our region. This approach is part of a long-term vision, where each partnership is nourished by respectful and harmonious relationships.
The vinifications we offer under the Les Libère-Terres banner are in perfect continuity with the approach already adopted within the estate: natural wines, with minimal or even non-existent sulfites. Our ambition is simple: to capture the essence of the grape, the singularity of its terroir and the meticulous work of our fellow winegrowers in each bottle.
With Les Libère-Terres, we seek to reveal the full potential of our lands by offering sincere and true wines.
