La Robina

something

La Robina is our tiny Languedoc hideout where we make pure, hands-on, nothing-added-nothing-removed wines with a healthy dose of chaos and joy. We’re an Finnish-American-French team on our fourth vintage, still pretending we know what we’re doing while our old vines and wild microclimates do the real work.

All our grapes come from the Saint-Chinian AOP, but the magic happens at 300 meters, inside a slightly haunted ancient factory tucked next to a river so cold it feels like it comes from another dimension. (It actually comes from a subterranean lake, but “other dimension” sounded cooler.) Most years we let our giant antique press run the show, giving birth to a lineup of raw, direct-press wines with plenty of personality.

This Year’s Mischief

Vintage 2024 brings a parade of light direct-press reds —Carignan-Cinsault Stars Hollow, Carignan-Mourvedre-Syrah Magic Woods —light, lively, and totally unfiltered in every sense.
Show up, taste it, argue about it.

Paris gets our wilder side: a carbonic Grenache that’s basically sunshine with opinions, and an oxidative orange winethat tastes like it’s been aged by a very friendly wizard.

We’re small, stubborn, a bit odd—and we like it that way. If you do too, you’re welcome at La Robina.
