We are La Minoterie, a small scale & premium cider house created by Laure Sourdin in 2022. We are based in Southern Normandy next to the sea and produce 100% natural ciders and perries (pear ciders) without any additives. We glean apples from high-stem, old and untreated orchards. In 2022, we planted over 1200 apple and pear trees to become self-sufficient and control the whole process end-to-end. All is organically farmed, we are striving to maximize agroecological practices and promote biodiversity in the Normandy landscape. In 2024 we will also plant some vines of Chenin and Pinot gris. The agricultural installation is accompanied by a project to redevelop a disused industrial building from the 1930s, the former Hyenville mill.
