Le Ferme des Sept Lunes is a 10-hectare vineyard located in the highest areas of St Joseph between Vienne and Valence. Founded in 1984 by current proprietor Jean Delobre’s grandfather. The domain was converted to organic and biodynamic agriculture by Jean in 1997 who only uses sulphur in his wines when it’s absolutely necessary. All grapes are harvested by hand and wines are fermented with their natural yeasts and unfiltered. Each cuvée is site-specific with certified organic Syrah, Roussane, Marsanne, Viognier and a bit of Gamay planted mostly on granite soils. In 2017, Jean entered into a partnership with colleague Jacques Maurice who owns 1.5 hectares of Vins de Pays Viognier and Roussanne. Both winemakers share the same philosophy that combines years of experience, old vines, natural farming and transparent winemaking. Their wines are pure, alive….full of energy and freshness !
