Tucked away in the rugged beauty of The Blue Mountains, a father and son are making wine the way it should be—raw, honest, and entirely their own. Tom, a wandering viticulturist with a degree from Adelaide University, and Bob, who began crafting small-batch natural wine in his converted shed back in 2016, took a leap in 2019 by converting a local vineyard to organic. This led to the production of the only organic, natural, mountain-made wines in the region. They also hand-pick grapes from organic or regenerative vineyards in New South Wales, maintaining simplicity—no additives, no fining, no filtering, no sulphur. Under the banner of Frankly, This Wine Was Made By Bob, Tom and his partner Jess have started Disciple Wines, with a focus on unique and unconventional blends. In 2023, they further expanded their vision by opening a natural wine bar & shop called Frankie and Mo's.
