Fattoria Calcabrina

Diego Calcabrina

Grower, Maker

something

Since 2005 we have been producing natural wines, applying the biodynamic method. To do this we started raising goats and sheep - our raw milk cheeses are known throughout Italy. We take care of the land with our compost, our efforts, trying to intervene only where there is an imbalance. We were the first in Umbria to be part of Renaissances, the first to certify everything, but also the first to no longer be part of any association, to not certify anything: the only thing that matters to us is the quality of our products, the beneficial effect they have on those who consume them: their digestibility, their sustainability.

This is Fattoria Calcabrina: - 15 hectares of land managed in total; - approximately 3 hectares of vineyard; - approximately 3 hectares of olive grove; - approximately 200 animals, 120 goats and 80 sheep and 2 horses, 4 dogs and, I think, 10 cats; - 4 co-workers plus me That's it!
