Founded in 2002 as a community-funded winery in Shiwa, Iwate—one of Japan’s premier viticultural hubs—Jien Jijou Wine Shiwa has spent nearly a quarter-century vinifying exclusively local fruit under our "community-rooted estate production" philosophy. This deep-seated connection to the land is the bedrock of our craft.In 2026, we evolve with the launch of our new low-intervention line, "Domaine Shiwa." By stripping away oenological artifice and embracing natural fermentation, we aim to liberate the raw, vibrant soul of our cool-climate terroir. This is not just a new label; it is the culmination of our history, capturing the pure essence of our home in its most transparent form.
