Constantina Sotelo is a winegrower who makes her wines in her family home in Castrelo, Cambados, in the Salnés Valley, Galicia. We work vineyards close to the Atlantic and the Ría de Arousa, in a landscape marked by the sea, granite and memory.
Our relationship with this place goes back a long way. A notarial document from 1758 already mentions the family’s stone wine press and its pergola-trained vineyards. Centuries later, Constantina Sotelo brought wine back to the centre of the house, recovering the family vineyards and a way of working linked to the land, the sea and memory.
We personally cultivate each of our vineyards, with our own hands. Although Albariño is the main variety of our land, we also work with minority and native varieties, where each wine is born from a specific landscape.
We are not part of the Denomination of Origin. This decision comes from the need to make wine with freedom and to express our vineyards without conforming to a fixed idea of what a wine should be.
In the cellar, we do not correct or mask the wines. We accompany them. For us, time is the only ingredient the wine needs to find its form.
Ultimately, our wines are Atlantic, natural and deeply rooted in our terroir.
