Château de Rougerie is a historic 17th-century estate spanning 27 hectares, located in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. Acquired in 2020 by the Allemandou family, Rougerie produces red and white wines under the Vin de France designation.
The vineyard covers 6 hectares, with vines aged between 20 and 96 years, divided into seven parcels planted with both red and white grape varieties (Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Gris, Sémillon, Chenin, Muscadelle). Certified Organic since 2023, the estate prioritizes cover cropping, preventive treatments, and agroforestry practices. Vineyard management is led by our head of viticulture, Véronique Sobolewski, who oversees the work in the vines with precision and care.
Harvesting is done by hand, with parcel-by-parcel vinification and fermentations using indigenous yeasts. The gravity-fed cellar ensures gentle handling of the grapes. Under the direction of our winemaker, Mauro Catarinella, fine extractions and long aging in demi-muids, amphorae, or glass demijohns favor subtlety and balance between fruit, structure, and freshness.
At Rougerie, every gesture is guided by the pursuit of that precise moment when matter becomes emotion. Each cuvée is born from a dialogue between technical rigor and intuition, between observation and experience.
