Calafuria is an Italian restaurant in Midtown Reno, run by renoite Tim Magee, the chef, who worked for 16 years in Italy and shortly at Noma (Copenhagen), and his Italian wife, Cristina De Nigris, in charge of the wines. The food is mostly local, all organic and inspired by traditional and modern Tuscan cuisine (the two had a restaurant in italy for 10 years, on the Tuscan coast). Almost all the wines on the list are organic, and many are from biodynamic, natural, low intervention and/or sustainable farming.
