The Beso Imports portfolio is broad and spans the 14 states in Mexico that have land under vine, but they maintain a focus on small family-owned wineries who source their grapes from estate-owned fruit and run sustainably oriented operations.
As Mexico emerges on the global winemaking scene, Beso hopes to bring attention and support to those wineries who are committed to responsible farming and winemaking practices, and to those who are truly value-added members to their local communities.
As an enormous amount of attention has begun to turn towards wines of Mexico, the direction of the industry is in a perilous state, and it's far from certain in which direction it will evolve. Our goal is to make wineries with the most outstanding practices be the best supported, with the intention of emphasizing that approach as the dominate paradigm.
