Ampeleia

Grower, Maker

something

We are an agricultural company in Alta Maremma, within the UNESCO Geopark of the Colline Metallifere. Here you will find an unexpected Maremma, authentic and made up of an incredibly generous nature

Ampeleia was born from three friends with a shared dream: make good, different wine that was an expression of the earthWe become interpreters of the harmonious alliance between the wine, the territory and its inhabitants, moving among our woods, vineyards, and the tanks where our wines rest.

This land welcomed the Ampeleia project with generosity and grace. The high hill forests and the rich soil of ancient miners nourish the vineyards, with Cabernet Franc as the flagship variety. Ampeleia, since its foundation, has chosen to respond to this generosity with a kind and conscious approach: we want to preserve without altering, collect and always give back.

Ampeleia is now of 120 hectares between 200 and 600 meters above sea level, divided between woods, meadows, olive groves and 35 hectares of vineyards, deliberately located to aim for maximum diversity and variety of microclimate, soil and vegetation. It is here, embraced by the trees of the high forest and the sea breeze, that our wines come to life, from unexpected varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Alicante Nero. We also welcomed animals and started growing wheat and olive trees
