Additional Information

SCHIOPPETTINO DI PREPOTTO is one of the oldest native vines in the Prepotto and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Our wine is produced with grapes grown only in the Prepotto and therefore given it's Cru name. After the manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking. After the first fermentation in contact with the skins, which takes place in cement, and lasts about 20 days, the wine ages in French oak barrels for about 12 months. We then transfer the wine back to the cement tini troncoconici for a further 6 months of aging. After which the wine is bottled and follows another 4-6 months of bottle aging before being released on the market.
Vigna Lenuzza is a feeling; a feeling that embodies family, generations of passion and vitality. Passionate about creating wines that excite, that burst with distinctive character, that sing the sweet melodies of our terroir. We are young Organic wine producers in Prepotto, carefully working 8 hectares of vineyards, with a strong focus on quality. We take time to vinify our very diverse blocks of vineyards separately, in order to fully respect to the many micro climates that exist here in our valley. Every vintage, we take time and patience to understand the special synergies between climate, soil, grape variety and human touch, helping us to create wines that continue to reflect what is beautiful and pure about our territory.
