Additional Information
SCHIOPPETTINO DI PREPOTTO is one of the oldest native vines in the Prepotto and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Our wine is produced with grapes grown only in the Prepotto and therefore given it's Cru name.
After the manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking. After the first fermentation in contact with the skins, which takes place in cement, and lasts about 20 days, the wine ages in French oak barrels for about 12 months. We then transfer the wine back to the cement tini troncoconici for a further 6 months of aging. After which the wine is bottled and follows another 4-6 months of bottle aging before being released on the market.
