VALFACCENDA BIANCO (Roero Bianco from Arneis grape 100% / 11.300 total bt).
This wine come from the arneis grape grown on the hills around Valfaccenda. It’s the white expression of our terroir.
From different vineyard (organic viticulture) with different exposition we get this dry white wine.
The south, east-south exposition fruit goes thru a soft maceration on skin for 7/10 days and then oak and acacia ageing for 6 month. This part is around 10% of the total mass. The other (north west and borth east exposition) it’s just juice fermentation in concrete and steel. In the spring, after malolactic fermentation, we blend the 2 wines in a single wine and then we bottle, without filtration.
Different vineyards and different winemaking for a single wine that in the glass express the finesse of the sandy Roero soils, the fruity and flower note of the Arneis grape and, as well, the carachter of a variety that once was called “Nebbiolo Bianco”.
Pleasant when young, more deep with some years of aging.
