Additional Information

Alcohol: 13% Bottle size: 75cl Age of vines:planted in 2007 Grapes are hand harvested (all the Capucha wines are from low yields and selective manually selected fruit) with whole bunch pressing followed by fermentation in barrels for six months and being matured in the same oak vessels for a further 14 months. There is a natural malolactic and the wine goes to bottle without filtration or fining. Tasting Note: Very neutral, mineral and pebbly nose. The wine is round and transparent, very focused on the Kimmeridgian style terroir.
something
Vale da Capucha wines are grown in the Lisbon coast, only 8 km from the Atlantic ocean. Vineyards planted on kimmeridgian limestone with clay. Indigenous grape varieties – Arinto, Fernu Pires, Alvarinho, Gouveio, certified organic viticulture by SATIVA and natural winemaking (only SO2) assure the maximum expression of this terroir blessed by the Atlantic influence. Transparent fermentations, nothing is added or taken from the juice, and the result are bright, energized wines that breathe life.
