The present Project is based on the implementation and further development of underutilized Agricole and Winemaking activities in Sierra de Gredos. Sierra de Gredos is an historical wine region in Central Spain, with outstanding crops, water and energy resources but which has been almost abandoned because of the migration of young generations to big cities like Madrid and Barcelona The aim of this Project is to found the University of Natural Wine with the target of forming a community of new winemakers, strongly linked to traditional and authentic techniques by revitalizing such outstanding area and at the same time to give job opportunities to new generation. The Project has main targets: 1. Reactivation on underutilized food and energy resources in Sierra de Gredos, an area of outstanding geographical, flora, fauna and energetic resources. This will be done by implementing several Agricole facilities, maximizing the internal use of energy and resources, combined with a full environmental respect and minimum geographical impact. 2. To generate working activities for people impacted by job loses or young generation with upcoming difficulties to access to the traditional market which is strongly impacted by the current economical and COVID 19 crises 3. To recover lost agriculture and farming techniques which were part of the tradition and history of the land, today abandoned due to the migration of the last 2 generation to Urban nucleus. 4. Re population of rural areas, improving general life quality of different areas and, at the same time, by decongesting existing urban nucleus (Madrid metropolitan area) 5. Foster the access to the end customer of high quality, regional and healthy food products by closing the loop producer and consumer on a local, regional and national level. Due to this wide scope, different professional profiles can be included during the execution of the project. Professional profiles related to agriculture and farming tasks, food production, transport and logistics as well as digitalization and commercial processes are expected to be included in the development of the project. As a final consequence, a revitalization of the region which is currently almost depopulated will take place.
