Additional Information

The wine is 100% Grenache, from vines planted about 1910 as part of Secondo Guasti's orginal planting in Rancho Cucamonga. The history books portray the planting as mostly Zinfandel, but there is a surprising amount of Grenache that has survived: in fact, in two vineyards, separated by a few miles. This wine is made from two distinct fermentations of the Maglite fruit
something
We have been making wine in Northern California since 2002, and in Southern California since 2019. Our Southern winemaking is focused on the forgotten old vineyards that surround Los Angeles, mostly in the Cucamonga Valley. Our youngest vineyard in the South was planted in 1918, the oldest in 1896. We make our wine in small warehouse in Los Angeles, in a part of the close to the Los Angeles River that was abundant with vineyards until 1905.
