Tenuta Ca’ Sciampagne is a natural estate nearby Urbino, in the Marche region, mainly focused on viticulture and winemaking. It was born in 2008, with a total surface of 27 hectares, of which about 10 of vineyards (part of them was planted in the 70s). We also have a couple hectares with olive trees. The proximity to the city of Urbino, the refurbishing of the estate for hospitality and winemaking, the respect for local traditions and some of the most beautiful landscapes in Montefeltro are the reasons why Tenuta Ca’ Sciampagne is a must-see cellar. Nestled in the enchanting hills near the medieval jewel town of Urbino, produces the most beautiful expression of the obscure Bianchello del Metauro grape, in an astounding 1 month skin contact version, Bianchello Ribelle, also in a petnat version and a non-skin contact clearer one, Simandro. Ribelle is an incredibly deep, evocative wine while Simandro is easy drinking but of graceful focus and complexity. Also wonderfully drinkable and Sangiovese at a great price. A particular pride are the incredible passito sweet wines matured in 4 different type of wood, all grown on the estate, at least 7-20 yrs old, some over 40 yrs old. No treatments in the vineyard, neither sulphur nor copper, nor any added SO2 to the wines.
