Slightly petrolly nose followed by the pure fruity flavour of lemon, citrus, crushed apple, pear and a bit of baked bread. A dry Riesling but the savoury yeasty creaminess brings rounded mouthfeel rather than sharp impression which this grape variety normally gives.
Yoshiaki and Kyoko Sato work organic plots at Mount Pisa, in New Zealand’s Central Otago. They have chosen a natural winemaking by using natural and biodynamic farming methods. Their wines are refreshing and reflect perfectly the complexity of the grapes.
