Additional Information

Reìs is a white wine voluntarily declassified, exclusively obtained from cortese grapes hand-picked in Bastian vineyard — plantation year 1985. Spontaneous fermentation — wild yeasts only — is done in stainless steel tanks after 3 days of pre-fermentative maceration at room temperature. Aging is done — for some months — in acacia wood. In the local dialect of 19th century, Reìs means “roots”.

Rocco di Carpeneto - vini radicali d'Alto Monferrato is a strictly natural winery located in Carpeneto (Al) on a small plateau amidst the Upper Monferrato hills, namely the closest to Mediterranean sea part of Piedmont. Wine production is focused on old vineyards and Piedmont-native grapes (cortese, moscato, barbera, dolcetto, albarossa, freisa, nebbiolo), We manage also a special Ligury project just next to Cinque Terre area (with albarola, vermentino, bosco grapes).  Rocco di Carpeneto is member of VinNatur and RAW Wine.
