Ambvivalent grows out of Celler Credo’s desire to express the great potential of Mediterranean varieties macerated on the skins. It’s a wine of nuances and contrasts, made from an “ambivalent” variety: one that’s not white, but not black either – an interplay of dualities that seeks to obtain the most rustic and authentic expression of red Xarel·lo. Ambvivalent is made using red Xarello from a small selection of vineyards located in the mountain region of Ordal (Alt Penedès), at an elevation of around 400 metres above sea level. The vineyards, which cover a total of two hectares, have loamy textured soil with a significant presence of calcareous nodules.
