2021 L'Aureate Skin Contact 100% Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, 13.6% alcohol This Chardonnay comes from the Nagomi Vineyard, which is farmed Regeneratively by Darek Trowbridge in the Russian River Valley. The soils are a silty loam much like the Goldridge soils of the nearby Sebastopol. Darek uses mulch (composted at the winery site) under the vines to increase the fertility of each vine by bringing microbiology, organic matter, tilth, and drought tolerance to the soil. These grapes were stomped with 100% whole clusters and allowed to soak for 48 hours of skin contact. Wild Fermentation occurs naturally.
