something
Meigamma in Sardinian language means “after lunch nap”. In this word is enclosed a “slow life” philosophy that inspire us to produce our wines, olive oil & honey. Our vineyards, olive grove, gardens and beehives coexist in an intact and respected territory in Villasimius 600 meters from the sea. The history of Meigamma’s wine began in 2006 when following our passion we planted our first vineyard and we are immersed in fascinating world of viticulture and enology. The desire to create a genuine wine, made only with good grapes, so much sun and intense aromas of Mediterranean herbs that surround our vineyards has become our wine philosophy. We try to bring out the unique characteristics of our grapes respecting our territory and working only with the native vines of our area: Nuragus, Nasco, Vermentino, Giro, Cannonau, Muristellu… For this reason we have opted immediately for an organic management of our vineyards (without pesticides, herbicides and any other type of synthetic products) and a total absence of any chemical treatments in the cellar that in some way can alter, hide or modify fruit’s characteristics. All our grapes are manual harvested. All our wines’s fermentations are spontaneous thanks to the indigenous yeasts. All our wines are not clarified or filtered and does not contain added sulfites.
