Additional Information

Les Indigènes is a ‘field blend’ cuvée of mixed indigenous grape varieties grown within a single, tiny, walled “clos” of less than a hectare that was planted around two hundred years ago and retains pre-phylloxera vines. These are co-fermented and aged in old oak foudres using indigenous yeasts and without temperature control.
something
In 1997 Catherine Roque, already vigneronne au Domaine de Clovallon, acquired Mas d’Alezon and its 7 hectares in the northern corner of Faugères. The adventure of Clovallon continues with Alix Roque, Catherine’s daughter. Mas d’Alezon ‘s wines are produced by old and native grape varieties, Cinsault, Lledoner Pelut, Carignan or Clairette du Languedoc for the white wine. In these terroir, the vines are clearing in the middle of chesnut, olive and almonds trees. In the North, Clovallon ‘s wines are based on Pinot Noir, with red and white wine.
