100% estate grown Merlot from Sonoma Valley AVA. Destemmed, manual punchdowns, aged in neutral barrel for 12 months. Destemmed, open top fermenters, punchdown 2-3 times daily until dry and gently pressed to neutral barrel to rest for 6 months. Racked to blend once and then racked again to homogenize for bottling.

Olson Ranch was planted in 1994 by Phil Coturri. It is about 3.5 acres of cane pruned Merlot. Clone 181 Root Stock 5C. Gravelly loam clay soil. 500 ft elevation.

Marioni Wine is all about California organically farmed vineyards making wines with zero additions. These are true terroir driven wines and many are from vineyards in Sonoma Valley and the surrounding area farmed by Dan and his team. Dan Marioni is the founder and current winemaker who started making wine with Nic Coturri in 2016 with Sonoma Mtn Winery. His background is in Engineering and is a 5th generation Sonoman.
