Malikuda Austronesian | To the Amis, Maori people, who share the same root, We are one Austronesian family! Co-ferment with: 60% Kindeli Wine (Riesling X Merlot) from Kindeli, Upper Moutere , New Zealand 14% Mehone Grape from Xihu, Taiwan 13% Wort from Sunmai, New Taipei City, Taiwan 10% Stiky Rice Wine from Truly Wine , Atolan, Taiwan 3% Lees from Amis Piquette 2021

Co-fermented with one 530 liters Qvervri and two 100 liters stainless tank for 31 days, free run juice. the vessels were blended and aged in bottle for one year.

Malikuda Wine |  

Malikuda Wine is a joint culture winemaking project based on natural wine making concept to co-ferment glutinous rice wine of the Taiwan aboriginal Amis tribe and natural grape wine from Nelson New Zealand together through their indigenous yeasts. 

The aboriginal Amis from Taiwan and the Māori from New Zealand are both part of the Austronesian language family. Malikuda, name after a traditional Amis tribal ceremony, bring all the dancers sing and dance together hand in hand inspire this trailblazing project to united Truly Wine and Kindeli Wine , so called " Austronesian winemaking team". 

Project started from year 2020 ,participation including Truly Wine , Kindeli , and  Sunmai ; while New Lifestyle Wine Imports as operation manager and Buvons Nature Wine Fair as support consultant. This made Malikuda Project echoing the Mipaliw of the Amis tradition, the spirit of mutual aid.

Where Winemaking, Amis Culture, and the Spirit of the Amis Music Festival Converge 

Nestled amidst the beautiful landscapes of Taiwan, a groundbreaking, joint cultural winemaking project has taken root,

poised to redefine the very essence of viticulture.

The project also wants to pay homage to the unifying power of the Amis Music Festival, an iconic celebration that has long resonated with the hearts and souls of those who gather to partake in its vibrant rhythms.
