“Lomtadze’s Marani“ is a small Cellar („Marani“), which is located in Georgia, region Kakheti, village Velistsikhe. The abovementioned Cellar (“Marani”) was built in the early 20th century, in the Cellar, there are 24 ”Kvevri” (The big Pottery, which is placed in the ground) which are made in 1900-1905 years, and The Winepress (“Satsnakheli”), which is decorated with brick ornaments.
The uniqueness of the Cellar (“Marani”) is that the traditional Kakhetian method of wine making (6 month Maceration in Kvevri) hasn’t not been stopped here for more than a century. The Family has 2 H. vineyards of Rkatsiteli and Saferavi varieties, which are looked after with Bio preparations, by members of family. Namely, the wine of “Lomtadze’s Marani“ is produced on the basis of the natural product.
Our wish is to make our Marani and wine famous.
