Additional Information

This cuvée is a homage to Cabernet grapes. First of all the Chinon-origined Cab Franc from 45 year old plants brings the great freshness and straightness to the wine. Cab Sauvignon from Côtes de Bourg adds roundness and structure. Syrah and Grenache were allowed to enter the blend for a more complex and rich wine, adding spicy and ripe fruit notes. Slow fermentations and a 9 months long ageing in barrils of 3 wines have balanced and concentrated the wine. This wine is best enjoyed with a good meal.
Laurent Bordes and Annica Landais-Haapa are the newest urban winemakers, travelling the vineyards of France in the quest for good grapes. Their project is called Les Chais du Port de la Lune, Port of the Moon’s Cellars, first cellar to vinify, press and mature wines in the City of Bordeaux since a long time. Their ambition is to create unique wines, paying homage to their partner vine growers as well as the origins of the grapes. Their installation of their steel tanks and barrels in an old renovated bunker in the area of Bacalan in the North of the City. Three vintages have been maked since the launch of this project. Organic grapes and and natural wine only!
