More on www.levindeblaise.fr/en My family has been growing vines for more than a century : Blaise is actually Blaise Granier, my great-great-grandfather who was born in 1851, and died in 1934. That’s why I called the wine Le vin de Blaise. Blaise Granier’s parents were educated farmers (I have lovely handwritten letters from them) and he succeeded in wine sales in Paris in the 1870’s , then came back to his village when his father died in 1901: the village is Sainte-Cécile-les-vignes, near Cairanne and Rasteau. He had the first car of the village, and was really a funny and talented man. He gave the estate to his only-daughter Jeanne, who gave it to her only-daughter Paulette, who married my grandfather. My father inherited of all this, and now I supervise the work on the vineyards. The grapes in Le vin de Blaise are organic and quite old (planted 1958,1965, 1967). For years we had always been bringing our grapes to the “cooperative” (like 60% of the Côtes du Rhone vines). I, Stephanie, now make a micro-production since harvest 2015 : 5000 bottles for vintages 2020 and 2021 with two red wines : Le vin de Blaise cuvée Violette (AOP CDR) and Le vin de Blaise cuvée Marguerite (AOP CDRV) Of course no external yeasts, no additives of any kind, no filtration, no fining (collage), and please have a look at our analysis : sulphur in Le vin de Blaise 2017 is below detection possibilities (we only put a little before bottling) and vintages 2020 and 2021 are certified "Vin Methode Nature under 30 mg/l" (of sulphites)
