something
Kristinus is located on the southwestern shore of Central Europe’s largest natural lake, Balaton. A unique mission in Central Europe, the wine farm integrating pastures, orchards, agricultural land, forests and animals to the vineyards has become Demeter certified in September 2022. They are passionate about promoting soil health and biodiversity in their environment. The application of permaculture, ecology-islands, insect hotels and indigenous cover crops all contribute to the harvest of high-quality, healthy grapes. By fermenting a high percentage of their wines on the skin in clay vessels, the grapes’ fruity natural character is delicately exposed. Autochtón varieties - led by Kékfrankos, Furmint and Olaszrizling - are a massive cornerstone of their farming ethos too.
