Additional Information

Alcohol:12.5% Bottle size: 75cl Age of vines: planted in 1973 Picking Date: 25 September 2019 Barrels: after finishing primary fermentation in both stainless and concrete amphora tanks, the Durant was racked to neutral Burgundy barrels (228L) made from French forests for élevage and malolactic fermentation Tasting Note: Pale, lemon-apricot, brilliant, and transparent. The nose begins with powdery minerals and has none of the tropical fruits that 2018 has, but has lovely, delicate and fine notes of citrus and vanilla bean pods. The mouth is smooth and silky, and has racy acidity.
something
I would love to insert passages of Ovid’s “Metamorphoses” here, specifically the Golden Age, the Silver Age, the Bronze Age, and finally, the Iron Age of humankind.
