Additional Information

The elaboration in the cellar follows the precepts of the association of natural wines of Spain, that is to say; the wine is not corrected with any substance external to the wine itself, no sulfur, no acids, nothing ... The grapes are harvested in 14 kg boxes, destemmed and the paste is macerated for at least two months in stainless steel tanks (The 2020 vintage has been macerated for 92 days). During this maceration, the process of alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place, then it is passed through a pneumatic press and matures in clay jars (amphoras), until its bottling preparation. It has not stabilized, it has not been filtered and it does not have any type of preservative in the bottling. 9,640 bottles were bottled in March 2021 under the Pampaneo and Orange Flame brands.

About Esencia Rural

We started working naturally in 2006. We farm almost 38 Ha. of vineyard, some of them extremely old, ungrafted, dry-farmed, bush-vines, whose fruit is fermented and macerated for extended periods (from 2 to 16 months) without adding any chemical component in the vines or cellar. We also elaborate two young wines that receive a tiny dose of sulphites (10-30 mg/l) at bottling. This is under demand of the buyers.
