Additional Information
The viticulture technique of the treevines, dates back a lot of centuries ago. According to historic evidence, it originates from the Greco-Roman era. It is about a very unique and rare technique, in which the cultivation of the vine is vertical instead of horizontal. It is well-known that the vine is a climbing plant. So, the tree helps the vine to climb to it and allows it to grow there.
Treevines don’t need any special agriculture care. Probably due to the height that the leaves are growing they have very good ventilation and less humidity, compared to the vines growing near the ground. This helps the vine to be less vulnerable to illnesses. Our vinification method is unique and follows a family tradition of more than 300 years. This method includes vinification inside an old open wooden tank with fir tree branches and stones from the local river on top for cap management. Only natural yeast is used and we totally avoid adding any sulphites, chemicals or preservatives. Also, we avoid using any intervention method during the vinification process. The Bottling process of this wine is performed usually 8-10 months after the harvest.
