Baby orange 2021 is golden yellow. The wine is slightly opaque due to the fact that it is not filtered. On the nose we feel very ripe citrus, pear-thubleas and gentle notes of herbs, especially lemongrass and sage. Ripe pear and citrus continue in the mouth, where a satrical red grape coil and a distinctly salty minerality that gives the wine extra depth. The texture is moderately buttery, which is due to maturation on fine trees. Acids are beautifully expressed and sutric icing for Istria. The aftertaste is quite long and pleasantly fruity. Somewhere in the background of the aftertaste we feel slight yeast flavours, which in macerated white vibe without the addition of sulphur like to appear at an initial stage and disappear after a few months. Butules classify their baby orange as their inlet macerated white wine, aimed at experienced macanet lovers and also those who are just flirting with such wines. This malvasia is still in its youthful phase and will grow into a beautiful young lady in a year or two. Baby orange will be an excellent companion to dry-meat goodies. I also think of truffle pasta.
