something
An eight acre vineyard planted on volcanic and granitic soils in the North Yuba area of the Sierra Foothill in California, farmed manually, chemical-free. Highly distinctive Pinot Noir, Syrah, and a few white, rosé, and red field-blends are harvested from extremely low-yielding vines (about 20 h/h in average) and vinified with minimal “intervention” in the winery. The goal is to allow the raw, faithful expression of the vineyards to be highlighted in the wine with the minimal degree possible of interference or “improvements”. Minimal amounts of sulfur are added to the wine to ensure stability.  All of our wines, including white and rosé, are slow to evolve and have unusual aging potential; they mostly start relaxing and showing their true potential only 8-12 years after harvest. They live for decades if properly stored.
