Clos Puy Arnaud is mentioned in the Féret handbook(the bible of Bordeaux’s Wines) in 1874 as a 1st growth. In 1898 this book is talking about Puy Arnaud as “one of the more researched wine of the country “. Thierry Valette (ex co owner of Château Pavie 1rst classified growth of Saint-Emilion) is producing here since 2000 fine, fresh and mineral wines which powerness is always under control of a soft extraction. Since 2000 the vineyard is run through the principles of an organic approach and has been involved into biodynamic agriculture in 2004. We are trying year after year to improve fruits and salinity from the “terroir” and a personality for each “cuvée”. We are also looking for energy in wine which is one of the impressive result of the biodynamic approach. Certified organic and biodynamic by Label AB since 2006, Label Biodyvin since 2010, Demeter since 2014
