Additional Information

Alcohol: 14% Bottle size: 75cl Age of vines: 25 years “Castagna is always a high point of Australian sangiovese. “Tannin is the key marker. You get the feeling that as the vines have aged, so too has the tannin structure; it’s more assertive, in an integrated way. When I remark on this Julian says, ‘I feel a fraud calling myself a winemaker, because it’s all down to the vineyard.’ Fresh summer berries and florals, spices, and that tension gauge of tannin strung throughout. It never loses sight of delicacy but it’s a powerful wine.” Campbell Mattinson
